Lindsey Passes Away at Residence Sol. C. Lindsey, 83, died Sunday at his hom, 712 Leland Avenue. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Turrentine-Jackson Chapel, Rev. W. P. Carter and Rev. Charles Cutts officiating with burial in Pecan Grove Cemetery Pallbearers were: O. E. Morrison, R. M. Opitz, Gray Newby, Raymond Newby, W. C. Rominger and G. L. Hargett. He was born Nov 22, 1882 in Alabama, and had lived in McKinney for some 20 years. He was a member of the Waddill Street Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War I. He was formerly employed by the Southern Ice Company, Dallas. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Lindsey, McKinney; brother Gordon Lindsey of Florida several nieces and nephews.
