All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Leah Artie Loftice Obituary Services for Leah Artie Loftice, 96, of 105 South Colorado Street in Celina, Texas, who died Saturday at her residence, will be held Tuesday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Celina, Collin County, Texas with Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery under direction of Cantrell Funeral Home in Celina. Mrs. Loftice was born October 11, 1899 in Collin County, the daughter of the late William Lon and Julia Estella Phillips Wester. She married Robert Claud Loftice on January 3, 1920 in Celina. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served in several church offices. She was also a charter member of the Collin County Home Demonstration Club, Volunteer for the American Red Cross, Celina Chamber of Commerce and was a homemaker. Survivors are son, J. P. Loftice of Celina, Texas; daughters, Roberta Fife, Ruth LaGrone and Nina Carlock, all of Celina and Winona Dees of Denton, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Lester and Neal Loftice, and a sister, Lela Whiteside. (From The Celina Record, June 6, 1996 and Cantrell Funeral Home, Celina, Texas)
