obit from a Collin County newspaper no date found with old Rossetter papers
  Funeral services for the late Dr. Dennis Miller, who died at his home in 
Dallas Friday afternoon, following a year's illness, were held in the Murphy 
Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Clinton L. 
Bowen, assisted by Rev. Luther Greer, and Rev. Otho M. Brantley.  Interment 
followed in the Big Springs Cemetery.
  Dr. Miller was born in Minden, Louisiana.  He would have been 77 years old 
June 12.  He came to Collin County when he was six years of age.  The family 
first settled on a farm just south of the Guy Rice homeplace.  He had lived in 
Murphy fifty years, and moved to Dallas a few years ago.
  He was educated in the Plano Institute.  Also attended the Baltimore Medical 
College, at Baltimore, Maryland, from which he was graduated, and did post 
graduate work in New York.  For a half century he was a practicing physician 
in South Collin.
  He was a member of the Methodist Church and for a number of years was 
president of the Liberty State Bank at Murphy.  He had five daughters: Mrs. R. 
E. Carpenter, Plano; Mrs. S. K. Brooks, Mrs. Raymond Crockett, Mrs. Minnie 
McEntee and Mrs. A.F. Ingram, all of Murphy; eleven grandchildren, two 
sisters, Mrs. Mary Dickerson, Mrs. Sallie Ethridge, both of Murphy.


Additional Comments:
Dr. Miller's first wife was Rebecca H. Oehlinger.  Second wife was Ruth 
Rossetter daughter of John Thomas Rossetter and Mattie (Ward) of Parker 
Community.
