FARMERSVILLE — Lillie Beatrice Montgomery, 88, of Copeville died July 10,
2008, at Lake Pointe Hospital in Rowlett.

A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. today in First Methodist Church in
Copeville with Rev. Stan Welch and Rev. John Johnson officiating. Burial
follows in Thompson Cemetery in Copeville under the direction of Hurst’s
Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville.

The daughter of William and Lura B. Green May, she was born Nov. 27, 1919, in
Blue Ridge. On Nov. 29, 1941, she was married to Willie “Bill” B. Montgomery.

Mrs. Montgomery worked for the Resistol Hat Factory. She was a member of First
Methodist Church in Copeville.

Survivors are her husband of Copeville; two daughters, Marelia Geren and
husband Monte of Whitney and Correnda Cantrell and husband Ricky of Blue
Ridge; two sisters, Wanda McCarley of Blue Ridge and Ira Jean Jeffcoat of
Farmersville; and grandchildren Lynn Bennett of Allen and Richie Geren and
wife Katy of Abilene; and one great-grandchild, Bryce Bennett of Allen.

Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church or Thompson Cemetery, both in
Copeville.
