Beatrice "Doty" Nelson, 79, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2008, in
Dallas.

Beatrice was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Rockwall, Texas, to Samuel and Ethel
(Myers) Tarrant. She married W. L. Nelson in 1942 in Wills Point, Texas.
Beatrice was a member of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas.

She is survived by her sons, L. W. Nelson and wife, Martha of McKinney, Texas,
Ollie B. Nelson and wife, Penny of Dallas, Texas, Douglas Nelson, also of
Dallas, and Ricky Don Nelson and wife, Veleta of McKinney, Texas; daughters,
Helen Nelson Rochelle, Patricia Nelson, and Rose Uko, all of Dallas, Texas; 25
grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Samuel
Tarrant of Grapevine, Texas, and Charles Tarrant of Dallas, Texas; sisters,
Ruby Kelly of Dallas, Texas, and Dorothy Smith of Allen, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her sons Charles Edward Nelson and Esker Earl
Nelson; daughter Sandra Kay Nelson; one grandson, Kenneth Nelson; five
brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Turrentine-
Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Pastor Christopher Thornton and
Rev. Clyde E. Clarke, III officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview
Memorial Park in Allen.

The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7 p.m.
Monday.
