Obituary for Charles Phipps

CELINA - Services for Charles Isaac Phipps, 80-year-old
retired Celina farmer who died Wednesday at Chapel of Care
Nursing Home in Sherman, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in
the First Baptist Church here.

The Rev. Robert Hensley will officiate, and burial will be in
Cottage Hill Cemetery.

Cantrell Funeral Home will direct the services.

Mr. Phipps was the son of Albert Jackson Phipps and Nettie
Rucker Phipps,a nd married Mary Leta Hays in 1934 in Celina.

He was a longtime Baptist church deacon.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Albert Lee Phipps of Nocona and
Don R. Phipps of Richardson; daughter, Mary Campbell of
Plano; sisters, Elizabeth Ashley of Anna and Lexie Ramey of
Dallas; 10 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
