Virgil G. Reid, 89, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2008, in
McKinney.

Virgil was born on Feb. 12, 1919, in China Spring, Texas, to William Henry and
Allie Mae (Brock) Reid. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a
corporal in Burma, India during World War II. Virgil married Illa A. McWhorter
on Sept. 28, 1945, in Ely, Nev. He was a salesman in the automotive parts
industry.

He is survived by his wife, Illa, of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Anne Reid of
Allen, Texas; brother-in-law Virgil McWhorter of Wyoming; and niece, Cheryl
Peterson Berg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Allie Reid; three
brothers; and three sisters.

A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2008, at
Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas, with Dr. Danny Buster officiating.

The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior at the
graveside.
