All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Sadie Bilderback Obituary Mrs. Sadie Bilderback, 84, died at her home in Weston, Texas, November 12th at 12 noon. Mrs. Bilderback had been at home for about three weeks after a stay in the hospital. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Bilderback was born in the Bethel Community between Celina and Weston, Texas on April 1, 1886, a daughter of the late F. M. Helms and Helen Dotson Helms. She went to school at the old McWhirter School and Alla School. She was married April 2, 1905 to Charlie Bilderback. He was accidently killed July 3, 1954 when hit by a truck. Mrs. Bilderback was a member of the Weston Methodist Church. Survivors are: Mrs. J. D. (Helen) Manes of Denton, Texas and Mrs. J. W. (Nellie) brown of Pasadena, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Dovie Willard of Henderson, Texas and Mrs. Zue Flanary of Sherman, Texas; three half-brothers, Charles Helms of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ray Helms of Dorchester, Texas and Curtis Helms of Celina, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A son, Collins Bilderback died in 1926 at the age of 16 and another son, Jack, died January 14, 1950. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Weston Methodist Church. Rev. Ross Bourland, pastor of Weston Baptist Church and Rev. Foy Thomas, pastor of Weston Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Scott Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Kenneth Manes, Charles Manes, Harold Lloyd Manes, Jack Manes, Jack Dwayne Bilderback and Joe Reagan. (From the Celina Record, November 26, 1970).
