All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mattie Juanita “Sis” Mugg Services for Juanita (Sis) Luscombe Bilderback Mugg, 84, of Weston, Texas were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at First Baptist Church in Weston with Rev. Tommy Justus, Rev. Tim Sublette and Jack Manes officiating. Interment was in Cottage Hill Cemetery under direction of Cantrell Funeral Home of Celina, Texas. Mrs. Mugg died Monday, August 4, 1997 at her home in Weston, Texas. She was born April 25, 1913 in Anna, Texas, daughter of the late Robert Henry and Connie Loftice Luscombe. She was a life-long resident of the Weston area and had owned and operated a grocery store in Weston for 42 years before declining health forced her to retire in 1992. Mrs. Mugg was a member of First Baptist church in Weston for over 70 years and a tireless worker in her church and community. She and Jack Bilderback were married in 1931. Following his death in 1950, she married Leland Mugg in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1979. Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Mike Merritt of Celina, Texas; four grandchildren, Susan Bilderback of Dallas, Texas, Brent and Misti Bilderback of Weston, Texas, Scott Merritt of Irvin, Texas, and Tim Merritt of Arlington, Texas; one great-grandson, Zackery Bilderback of Weston, Texas; and one sister, Glendora Ross of Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Mugg was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jack D. Bilderback, four brothers and one sister. (The Celina Recordxd, August 7, 1997)
