Funeral services for George Thomas Vaughan were held April 1, 2008 at the
Freeman Heights Baptist Church of Garland. Interment followed at the Thompson
Cemetery in Copeville. Bro. Larry Venable officiated.

Mr. Vaughan was born in Farmersville on March 16, 1922 to Charlie C. and
Jewell Putman Vaughan.

He graduated from Farmersville High School and was a veteran of WWII. He was
retired from CECO Corporation after 30 years and was a member of the Freeman
Heights Baptist Church. According to his family, he enjoyed fishing, football
and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Fern Vaughan; a daughter, Glenda
Davidson and her husband John; sons, Tom Vaughan and wife Brenda and Donny
Vaughan and a sister, Nell Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren, and seven
grandchildren.
