Robert J. Viana, 59, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2008.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1948, in New York, N.Y., to Joseph and Billie (Smith)
Viana. On Aug. 3, 1998, he married Shaheen Mahmud in McKinney, Texas. Robert
was a supervisor at Region Ten Education Service Center in Richardson, Texas,
from which he retired in 2003, and a former youth pastor at High Pointe Church
of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Shaheen Mahmud Viana of McKinney, Texas; sons,
Chad Viana of Baltimore, Md., Andy Viana of McKinney, Texas, and their mother,
Betsy Viana, Shaw Mahmud and wife, May of McKinney, Texas, and Sonny Mahmud of
McKinney, Texas; sisters, Viola Zaragoza and husband, Fermin of Arlington,
Texas, and Carla Michaels and husband, Bill of Grand Prairie, Texas; brother,
Bill Viana of Dallas, Texas; good friend, Danny Hannon of McKinney, Texas; and
numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann Wright, and her
husband, Robert.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the
High Pointe Church of Christ, with Brother Bill James and Brother Bryan Sharp
officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends during a visitation at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 7:00
p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
