At 12 years of age she moved with her parents to Franklin Parish, La. At 16 years of age she was married to Armstrong F. Ward, who is now deceased. To them were born nine children. One died at three years of age, one died at six months of age. Seven lived to be grown. Six married; one yet single. The living are Mrs. Mattie E. Rossetter, Route 2, Allen, Texas; Van S. Ward, Era, Texas. Mrs. Eugenia Gregory, Route 2, Allen, Texas; Ernest Ward, Goodlett, Texas; Mrs. Climie Butler, Amarillo, Texas. When quite young she was converted and joined the Methodist Church, South and remained with her first choice, and communed with her Leader and God daily until the end of her earthly suffering which was many months. She suffered much, but being of a very reserved, quiet, modest temperment always accepted her lot.
