He had gotten up and started a fire and while waiting on his wife to fix breakfast was working on a piece of furniture. He had complained of his stomach and his wife had fixed him a dose of soda, but continued his work until the fatal pain struck him and then he staggered a step or two and fell on the bed where he died in a very few minutes. He had only been living here about a week, coming here from Collin County. He is survived by his wife and 2 small children, who had the sympathy of the neighborhood. His remains were buried Wednesday in Hopkins County. ~ ~ ~ The Rains County Leader, January 20, 1922 ~ ~ ~
