Sarah Ann (Sally) Wester

Funeral services for Mrs. SAra Ann Wester, age 85, wife of Esq. J. F. Wester,
were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at Cottage Hill Methodist Church with
Rev. A. R. Morgan officiating, assisted by Revs. O. B. Rogers and L. T.
Grumbles.

Mrs. Wester, before her marriage, Miss Sarah Ann Johnson, was born in North
Carolina March 14, 1855, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Johnson. She came to
Texas and to Collin County forty-eight years ago. She passed away Saturday as a
result of a heart disease following a four years’ illness.

Surviving are her husband, Esq. John F. Wester; her children, Mrs. Laura Darnall
and John Wester both of Cottage Hill community, Mrs. Lena Gladden of Denton,
Texas, Ed Wester of McKinney, Texas and Mrs. Allie Thomason; a brother and
sister, Mrs. Fannie Young and Charlie Johnson of Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Mr.
Wester, her husband for thirty years, was Justice of the Peace and has been
retired for some four years.
