Ray Gene Howard, 77, of Pottsboro died Tuesday at Texoma Medical Center. 
Funeral services held at Hurst`s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Joe 
Patterson officiating. Buried in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, TX. Son of 
Donald Felix and Ola Kent Howard, born June 19, 1924 in Blue Ridge. On June 
26, 1944, he married Lela Fitzgerald in Rockwall. He served in the Merchant 
Marines. Mr. Howard was a Baptist. He worked in real estate. Three daughters, 
Dianne Howard Parker of Gainesville, Cathy Howard Mitcheltree of Euless and 
Hope Howard Milroy of Gordonville; two sisters, Connie Pye Vest of North 
Conway, N.H. and Ann Smith of Las Vegas.  Six grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
