She was born on August 31, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas to Dorothy Lou and William A. Heller. She attended Kansas State University and the University of Michigan, and was an active Pi Beta Phi member and President of her chapter. Wherever she lived, she was actively involved in her community. While living in McAllen, Texas, she continued to be involved with Pi Beta Phi, and also started the McAllen Literacy Program, with over five hundred graduates while she was there. She also served on the Planning Commission and as an Officer with Zonta International. Living in New Braunfels for the past 4 years, she was involved with the New Braunfels Presbyterian Church, the Republican Women, and the New Braunfels Friends of the Library. Billie will always be remembered for her laughter and cheer, courage, sense of humor, and her loyalty to her family and friends. Survivors include her father, William A. Heller of New Braunfels, and her two sons: Michael R. Swanson and wife Cathy, of New Braunfels; and William R. Heller and wife Jennifer, of Houston. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Jonathan and Elizabeth Swanson; and Drew, Katie, and Meg Heller. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at the New Braunfels Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be held next week at Roselawn Cemetary, in McAllen, Texas. Rose Tuseth Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Rose Tuseth who passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her sons Robert Tuseth and wife Diana of Fountain Valley, CA, Richard Tuseth and wife Melissa of Houston, TX, Randall (Steve) Tuseth of Fountain Valley, CA, fiancée Clif Schrader, Grandchildren Jonathan Tuseth, Brian Tuseth, and Jennifer Lupercio, her sister Mary Ploch, New Braunfels, and brothers August R. Offer, San Antonio and Emil Offer, Phoenix, AZ. Mrs. Tuseth was preceded in death by her husband Elman Tuseth and by her brothers Paul and Alfred Offer. Rose was an avid golfer and won more than a dozen city golf championships. Visitation will begin Friday April 22 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 P. M. and continue until service time. Family will be present from 5 - 7 PM Friday evening. Services will be held Saturday April 23 at 11:00 A.M. at Zoeller Funeral Home with interment at 12:30 PM Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in San Antonio. Otilia Mendez Funeral arrangements arte pending at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Otilia Mendez, who passed away on Wednesday in New Braunfels, at the age of 93 years. Elinor Peschel Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Elinor Peschel, who passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 in Austin, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Alvin F. Seiler of New Braunfels; sisters, Lorine Weber of Martindale, Texas, Lillian Soechting of New Braunfels and Anna Schneider of New Braunfels; bothers, Franklin Preusser and Leatrice and George Preusser and Gloria all of New Braunfels and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until service time Friday. Services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home, with interment to follow in the Comal Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the American Kidney Foundation. Victor Carl Walter Haecker Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Victor Carl Walter Haecker, who passed away on Monday in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 79 years.
