Six buildings burned here this morning at 3:15. Higginbotham company lost three houses, $1000, goods $300; no insurance. H. Taylor, stock of goods $1500; insurance $500 with the Providence. Buck Westbrook, carpenter tools, $150; no insurance. Thomas Blassingame, saloon and fixtures. P. G. Hilliard house $500, goods $1000; $300 insurance on the house with the Teutonic. C. C. Morris, House $900; no insurance. Miller & Rucker, house $350; no insurance. Knights of Honor, lodge furniture $75; no insurance. A. Booth, goods burned $500; no insurance. F. L. Terrell, wall and roof to store building damaged $250; fully insured. The fire is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary.
