PILOT POINT – Funeral services for Luella Maurine “Deanie” Alexander, 87, of 
Pilot Point are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clement-Keel Chapel in 
Gainesville.  Rev. Royce Denton and Rev. Milton Pledger are officiating.  Burial 
will follow at the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral 
Home.
Mrs. Alexander died on Feb. 3, 2009 at the Pilot Point Care Center.
She was born Oct. 26, 1921 in the Mountain Springs Community to Oran and Eula 
(King) McMillin.  On Oct. 23, 1941 she married A. L. “Pete” Alexander in 
Marietta, Okla.
They were life-long residents of the Pilot Point and Mountain Springs areas.  
She was a homemaker and caregiver and a life-long member of the Mt. Pleasant 
Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters and their families; Peggy and Pete Hollar of 
Pilot Point; Susan Alvord and Jon Capps, Alison, Blake, Cameryn and Colby of 
Keller; Cheryl and David Luther, Hope and Trip of West Palm beach, Fla.; Greg 
and Maddi Hollar of Denton and Eva Luella and Anna; Janie Scott and husband Drew 
of Santa Fe, N.M. and their children; Amie and Michael Searcy, Isabella, Max and 
Elliot of Norman, Okla.and Andrew and Jennie Scott and Maggie of Allen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete, in 1994, her son Lloyd Neal in 
1942 and her granddaughter Allie in 2004.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Visitation is set for today, Feb. 6 from 6-7 p.m. at the Clement-Keel Funeral 
Home.
