ALEXANDER William A. Alexander, 76, Rt. 1, Pilot Point, died unexpectedly Friday at 5:45 p.m. at his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1893 in Cooke County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Alexander. He married Miss Mary Roberson on Dec. 1, 1912 in Hemming. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Services will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. in Vernie Keel Chapel. The Rev. Roy Williams will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Roy Montgomery. Interment will be in New Hope cemetery. Bearers will be Melvin Nichols, John Mann, Don Holley, Bud Razor, Wayne Ellis and Ernest Huey. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Jack, Aubrey and Bill Alexander, all of Pilot Point; four daughters, Mrs. Izora Castleberry of Madill, Okla., Mrs. Violet Lemons of Gainesville, Mrs. Cledus Hale of Marlow, Okla., and Mrs. Fritizie Haynie of Pilot Point; one sister, Mrs. Oma Trent of Sanger; one brother, Oscar Alexander of Pilot Point; 19 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
