J. Carroll & son Funeral Home of Gainesville. The service will be at the Hillcrest Chruch of Christ with Dennis Perry, minister of the Callisburg Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Brinkley died Jan. 10, 1996, at the HCA Medical Center of Plano in Plano. He was born April 16, 1930, in Rush Springs, Okla., to Annie Elizabeth (Harrell) and Walter William Brinkley. At the age of 5, he moved with his parents to Gainesville. He graduated from high school in buckeye, Ari. He retired from Southland Paint Company in 1983 after 15 years of employment as a truck driver. He was a member of the Callisburg Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Lois Brinkley of Gainesville; sons, Truman B. Brinkley Jr. of Niederland and Allen Bush of Gainesville; daughters, Paula Robinson and Melinda Brinkley, both of Sheridan, Wy., Kathy Misenhimer of Rattliff, Ky., and Vicky Gates of Gainesville; 13 grandchildren; sister, Willie Sue Rodenbaugh of LaMirada, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
