Scott's Funeral Home was in charge. Mrs. Hitt was born March 30, 1934, in Rogers , where she was reared and attended school. She married Jewell Hitt, Jr. on September 1, 1972. After their marriage they resided in Gatesville. Mrs. Hitt was employed at Walls Manufacturing in Gatesville at the time of her death for the past 22 years. She was a member of Gatesville Church of Christ. Following graduation, he attended Tarleton State University. He married Corine Lowery Aug. 24, 1932 in Flat. He owned and operated R. L. Homan Plumbing for over 30 years. He was a member of the Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years, the Johnny Watkins Sunday School Class, the Gatesville Country Club, the First United Methodist Church and was a member and past president of the Gatesville Lions Club. He and his wife were also members of the Cen-Tex Bird Breeders Assoc. Mr. Hollingsworth, 68, died Saturday in a Waco hospital. He had lived in Waco the last 31 years and was a retired Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. salesman. His salesman's route included Gatesville for several years. He was born May 14, 1914, in Turnersville. He was a member of the Beverly Hills Baptist Church. Burial was in Restland Cemetery. Son of Charles and Lucy Ingram, Mr. Ingram was born Oct. 12, 1889, in Milano and was reared in Mooresville. He married Miss Tina Russell in Mooresville and they resided there and in Flat until moving to Waco, where Mrs. Ingram died in 1919. Mr. Ingram returned to Flat. He married Miss Etta Gilliland in Agugust, 1920, and they resided in the Flat and Ewing communities. Mr. Ingram was a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Etta Ingram. A son, Willie Ingram, died in 1976. Mrs. Hughett was born May 31, 1906, in Coryell County. She married Guy Hughett Dec. 12, 1922 and they lived in the Jonesboro community for 13 years. They later moved to the Pancake community, where they lived for 32 years. Mr. Hughett died Nov. 16, 1961. Mrs. Hughett had lived in Gatesville since 1978. She was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church. He was a retired cabinet maker. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Scott's Funeral Chapel and were conducted by Rev. Cline Davis. Burial was in Restland Cemetery. Mr. Keller, son of the late James and Clara Keller, was born March 28, 1904 in Big Rock Iowa. He married the former Florine Bond in Mission on June 3, 1955. They moved to Gatesville 10 years ago. Mrs. Keller died last March. Mr. Keller was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one brother, Leo Keller of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Lange of Ketchikan, Alaska; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Restland Cemetery. The Rev. Rex Tilly officiated. Mr. Jones was born February 26, 1908, in Turnersville, the son of the late Rob and Cecil Jones. He was reared and attended schools at Buster, Turnersville and Gatesville. He married Adelia Bone on Sept. 2, 1936. During WWII, he served in the Army, with 39 of 42 months having been spent in combat in the Pacific Theatre. At his discharge, he held the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his military service, most of his adult life was spent in law enforcement and security work. He had twice served as Chief of Police in Gatesville, held deputyship under three Coryell County Sheriffs and worked approximately 15 years as a civilian security officer for the Texas National Guard at Fort Hood. He had also farmed and ranched until his retirment in 1970. The family has designated the American Cancer Society for memorials. He was 82 years old. Mr. Kendrick was a native of Gatesville, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Kendrick. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1921 and the University of Texas in 1925. For many years he was a professor of music and later of business at Texas Woman's University in Denton. Murray and the former Lura Burton were married in Waxahachie on March 24, 1940. Private graveside services were held in Denton on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 27, followed by a memorial service on Sunday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church in Denton. He founded Kuykendall Motor Co. in 1926 and was an active civic leader in Temple for many years. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rachel Pendleton; and by one brother, Herbert Lester.
