His death was attributed to an apparent heart attack. He was 61. ] Mr. Perryman was en route from Harmon to Colorado Springs when he was fatally stricken. He formerly resided in Colorado Springs. Military services were held in Colorado Springs Wednesday. Born and reared in the Harmon community, Mr. Perryman graduated from Gatesville High in 1939. He attended Tarleton College in Stephenville before entering the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving as a fighter pilot during World War II. He remained in the Air Force for 20 years before retiring from the military service. Mr. Perryman resided in Colorado Springs before moving to Harmon about five years ago. Survivors include his wife of Colorado Springs; one son, Marty Perryman, a college student in Denver; his mother, Mrs. Glenn (Rosie) Perryman of Harmon; one brother, Homer Perryman of Harmon; and two sisters, Mrs. Rosin Watkins of El Paso and Mrs. Luwin Cathey of Fort Worth. Born Sept. 20, 1921, in the Harmon community, she lived in this area all her life. She was married to D. K. Perry on Aug. 22, 1950, in Odessa. She had lived in Copperas Cove the last 32 years. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Pendleton was born Oct. 3, 1891 in Milam County, daughter of the late Eli and Anne Blakley. She was first married to James B. Webb, who preceeded her in death in the early 1940's. Later she was married to Raymond Pendleton, who died in 1975. She spent most of her life in the Pearl Community. She was a Baptist. Son of the late Tom and Annie Quicksall, he was born in Coryell County on May 8, 1919. He was reared in the Ames commuinity and graduated from Gatesville High School. Mr. Quicksall entered the Marine Corps during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in combat on Guadalcanal. He was a member of the Hay Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Price was born April 25, 1918 in Milam County, the daughter of the late Zachary and Mattie Warren. She moved to Gatesville as a child. She was a homemaker and a former civil service employee at Fort Hood. She was a Baptist. She is survived by four daughters, Doris Woodley of Austin, Edith Paul of Gatesville, Mildred Lehrmann of McGregor and Neta Pitts of Rogers; three sons, Larry Barnard of McGregor, Gary Michael Barbard (sic) of Levita, and Paul Barnard of McGregor; one brother, Calvin Warren of Hollis, Oklahoma; five stepchildren; sixteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Price, a daughter of the late Neal Patterson and Nora Ingram Patterson, was born March 28, 1907, in the Ruth community in Coryell County. Her childhood was spent in Gatesville and she graduated from high school in Brownwood. She was married to Roy Price in 1927 in Abilene. Mrs. Price worked for Action, a senior citizens' assistance firm in Irving. She was preceded in death by her husband and by a son, Joe Roy Price. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Reinhardt was born May 1, 1916, in the Prairie Chapel community of McLennan County where he attended school. He married Hilda Truede April 14, 1937, in Coryell City. They lived in Prairie Chapel where he farmed until moving to Coryell City in 1979. From 1980 to 1991, he operated the Blankenship Store there. He was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church where he was president of the St. John Lutheran Cemetery Association since 1975, and had served as caretaker there for the past several years. He had also served as president of the church council and was treasurer of the Brotherhood. NELLIE RIGDON Mrs. Nellie Busby Rigdon of Flat died Sunday evening in a Gatesville nursing home. She was 74. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flint Creek Cemetery with Rev. D. W. Copeland officiating and Marwitz Brothers Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Rigdon and her husband, Tommy Rigdon, had resided in Flat since 1975. They moved there from Amarillo. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rigdon is survived by four sons, Sam Rigdon and Ross Rigdon, Both of Amarillo, Jack Rigdon of Priest River, Idaho, and Jim Rigdon of Cour d'Alene, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Elrod of Temple and Mrs. Dinkie Lam of Flat; three sisters, Mrs. M. He was a retired rancher. Services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor and were conducted by Rev. J. Weldon Smith. Burial was in St. Paul Memorial Park, Crawford. A native of Zionsville in Washington Coutny, Mr. Richter came to the Coryell City area in 1908. He married Minnie Rodenbeck in 1914. Mr. Richter ranched at Coryell City until 1950, when he moved near Gatesville. He retired in 1959 and moved to Oglesby. Mr. Richter was secretary and treasurer for Germania Local No. 82 for several years. He was 79 and had been a patient in the home the last six years. Services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Marwitz-Freeman Funeral Home chapel and were conducted by Rev. Rex Tilly. Burial was in the Moffatt Cemetery. Mr. Terrell, son of the late Samuel H. and Janie Terrell, was born at Belton Oct. 10, 1902. He was married to Lois Bell Donaho Oct. 31, 1925. SIMS Rev. Raymon W. Sims, 71, of Evant died March 5 at the local hospital. Funeral services were held March 7 at Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville, with burial in the Restland Cemetery. Officiating at the services was the Rev. David Crosby. Rev. Sims was born July 2, 1913 in Turnersville and married Iva Lee Barton on Dec. 2, 1938 at Oglesby. He was pastor of the Moline Baptist Church in Lampasas County and had been pastor at several churches in Coryell County. He moved to Evant n 1972 and was also a bus driver for the Evant Independent School District;.. Survivors include his wife: three sons, LeRamon Sims of Waco, Henry Sims of Gatesville and Jackie Sims of Houston; one daughter, Donna Horton of Cedar Park; three brothers, Earl Sims of Rogers, Arkansas, Arnold Sims and Marvin (Chick) Sims, both of Waco and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers at the services were Carylon Wall, J.D. Hunt, Charles Griffin, Jackie Williams, Gayle Calhoun, Bob Wright, Gary Tyson and Phil Brister. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wedneday at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville, the Rev. Rex Tilly and the Rev. David Crosby officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. Mr. Sinyard wa born Oct 13, 1938, in Hawkinsville, GA, son of Troy Lee and Evie Sinyard. He was reared and attended schools in Georgia. He was in the military from 1960 to 1962 and was married to Leta Gillmore on Oct. 20, 1962. They were both residents of Georgia until moving to Gatsville around 1977,. Services were held Saturday afternoon at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Gorman, Rev. Melvin Hooter and Rev. Ron Carroll officiating. Burial was at Howard Cemetery near Desdemona. Mrs. Skinner, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Evan J. Smith of Gatesville, was born March 31, 1918 in Waco. She was reared in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School. The Rev. Harvey Ozmer officiated. Burial was at Hillsdale Cemetery. A rancher in Lampasas and Coryell counties until his retirement in 1972, Mr. Smart was born to the late H.R. and Mary Smart in Bruceville, Texas on Aug. 12, 1918. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He retired in 1972. Mr. Smart is survived by his wife Tula Mae Smart; his son Howard Smart of Levita; his daughter Freda Martin of Oglesby; and three sisters, Nell Pearce, Bertha Watson and Mary Clary, all of Lampasas. SHIREY Mrs. C.E. (Freda) Shirey, Sr. of Gatesville, died here September 29. She was 88. Services were held October 1 at Scott's Funeral Home with Dr. Jay Riley officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery. Mrs. Shirey was born December 31, 1903, in the Pidcoke community. She was the daughter of the late J.W. and Amelia Coskrey. She was reared in the Hay Valley community and attended schools at Hay Valley and Gatesville. On November 27, 1927, she married C.E.Shirey Sr. After their marriage they resided in Turnersville and Jonesboro until moving to Gatesville in 1958. Mrs. Shirey was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Gatesville. J. (Jack) Smith Sr., of Hamilton died early Sunday in a Temple hospital after a short illness. He was a former Coryell County resident and was the father of E. J. Smith Jr. of Gatesville. Services for Mr. Smith, a retired farmer, were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Marwitz-Freeman Funeral Home chapel in Evant, with burial in the Bee House Cmetery. Mr. Smith, son of Mel and Canzada Smith, was born in Coryell County on May 20, 1894. He lived in the Pearl and Bee House communities and later in the Pottsville area before moving to Hamilton in 1954. He was married to Birdie Smith on Dec. 25, 1914. Survivors include his wife of Hamilton; four sons, E. J. He was 56. Services were held at 4 p.m. Friday at Scott's Funeral Home chapel and were conducted by Minister Edward Schaub. Burial was in the Turnersville Cemetery. Mr. Smith, born Sept. 10, 1924, in Hamilton, was reared in the Turnersville community and served in the U.S.Army during World War II. He was a retired farmer and also had bween employed at the Gatesville state School for Boys. Mr. Smith was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. ElMarie Sanford of Gatesville; one son, David Smith of Gatesville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith of Gatesville, two brothers, J.M.
