   Gatesville Messenger Aug.13, 1992 MRS. SHORT
   Mrs. Claud (Sarah) Short of Wimberly died there Saturday. She was 91.
   Services were held Tuesday at Scott's Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Tilly
   officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
   She  was  born  February  16, 1901, in Coryell County, daughter of the
   late  William  L.  and  Annie  Brown. She attended school at Ewing and
   Gatesville. She also attended Baylor University.
   She  married William Claud Short in the Ewing community July 29, 1923.
   They  lived in San Antonio for 18 years before moving to Gatesville in
   1965.  Mrs. Short was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church
   in Gatesville.
   Survivors include three sons, Doyle Short of Wimberly,
   Billy  Short  of  Rockport  and Gilbert Short of Victoria; one sister,
   Mrs.  Rex  (Lula)  Clawson  of  Houston;  nine  grandchildren  and  10
   great-grandchildren.
