   Mrs.  Paul  (Elaine)  Skinner,  69,  of  Gorman,  a  former Gatesville
   resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, in a Stephenville hospital.
   Services  were  held  Saturday  afternoon at Higginbotham Funeral Home
   Chapel in Gorman, Rev. Melvin Hooter and Rev. Ron Carroll officiating.
   Burial was at Howard Cemetery near Desdemona.
   Mrs.  Skinner,  daughter  of  the  late  Mr. and Mrs. Evan J. Smith of
   Gatesville,  was  born  March  31,  1918  in  Waco.  She was reared in
   Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School. She was a member
   of the First Baptist Church of Gorman.
   Survivors  include  three  daughters,  Lou  Ann  Hill of Irving, Linda
   Hooten  of  Amarillo  and Helen Collum of Desdemona; a sister, Pauline
   Clark  of  Waco;  a  brother,  Rev.  Leslie  Smith of Indonesia; eight
   grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
