Services were held July 27 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Tilly officiating. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Born July 14, 1905 in Coryell County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Rena Trammell. She was raised and attended school in Coryell County. She married Sam Spence March 4, 1947. She and her husband made their home in Gatesville. She was preceded in death by her husband June 19, 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs Howard (Ruth) Groth of Florissant, MO, Mrs. Carl (Betty) Harvey of Broaddus and Mrs. Dewey (Pat) Jones of Gatesville; three sisters, Mrs. Beth Jones of Euless, Mrs. Annie Hopson of Hillsboro and Mrs. Lillie Rookh Dane of Weatherford; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
