THOMPSON BURIED AT JONESBORO THURSDAY Thursday afternoon at three Rufus Andrew Thompson of Gatesville was buried in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Mr. Thompson was born in Troy, Bell, Co., Texas in 1876 and 58 years of age when he died, at 9:40 March 6. Rev. M. M. Chung officiated at the funeral and Mr. Thompson was accorded Masonic Rites by the Masonic lodge of Jonesboro. Mr. Thompson was a retired farmer and was operating a boarding house and hotel a the time of his death in this city. He had moved to this county when he was a boy and spent most of his life on his farm near Jonesboro begfore moving to Gatesville. Besides his wife, formerly Miss Mary Dolley, he leaves three Children: Mrs. L. L. Wharton of Gatesville; Mrs. W. T. Watson of Jonesboro; Mrs. C.P. Lovelace of Kilgore. Also six grandchildren: Emile Francis Watson and John Rufus Watson of Jonesboro and Joe Powell Lovelace, Doris Lovelace and Willie Mack of Killeen. Pall bearers were: Harry Dillashaw, Donald Mckinney, Feno Straw, Harry Flentge and Brooks Sasse.
