BLANCHE REED Blanche Reed, 89, of Waco, former owner and operator of Reed's Flowers in Waco, died Sunday morning at a local hospital. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Rayford B. High officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was born Sept. 29, 1900, in Gatesville. She married Al H. Reed in 1920, and they owned and operated Reed's Flowers for many years. Mr. Reed died March 27, 1990. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Auxiliary of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Survivors include two sons, James B. Reed of Rockport and Harry Reed of Waco; a daughter, Dorothey Campbell of Pepper Pike, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Connally-Compton Downtown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
