All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm WACO TRIBUNE-HERALD MARCH 10, 1000 FRED REMINGTON GROCER--GATESVILLE- Fred Remington, 77, of Gatesville died Thursday at his residence. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Restland Cemetery, the Rev. Mark Kemp officiating. Mr. Remington was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Austin and was reared and educated near Clifton. He married Norma Lee Turner Oct. 12, 1954, in Clifton. During World War II, he worked in the Shipyards at Orange. He also sold produce for many years in the Gatesville, Temple and Waco areas. He lived in Flat for many years and moved to Gatesville in 1986. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters, Helen White of McGregor and Judy Demny of Houston; a son, Kenneth Remington of Fort Worth, three stepsons, James White of Gatesville, William White of Houston and John White of Houston; a brother, Carl Remington of Clifton; two grandchildren; 31 step grandchildren; and 15 great-step-grandchildren. Scott's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
