   WACO TRIBUNE-HERALD NOV. 23, 1990 MRS. LIFE (ARDIS) SHELTON
   Mrs.  Life  (Ardis)  Shelton,  73,  of  Flat died Thursday in a Temple
   hospital.
   Graveside  services  will  be  10  a.m. Friday at Restland Cemetery in
   Gatesville, Minister Delbert Smith officiating.
   Mrs.  Shelton  was  born  Dec.  27,  1916,  in the Elijah community of
   Coryell  County.  She attended school at Maple and Harmony, graduating
   from  Harmony  High School. She married Life Shelton on Dec. 17, 1932,
   in Killeen. They moved to Flat from the Hubbard community in 1952.
   She was a member of West Main Church of Christ in Gatesville.
   Survivors  include  her  husband;  a daughter, Shirley Stubblefield of
   Flat;  four  sisters,  Annie Hill and Aleen McBride, both of Lampasas,
   Lois  Gilkison  of  Kansas City, MO., and Cleone Engle of Taylor; four
   grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   The famly has designated the American Cancer Society for memorials.
   Scott's Funeral Home in Gatesville is in charge of arrangements.
