Police Make Arrest. Ham Boyd, a white man aged about 35 years, was stabbed and almost instantly killed last night shortly after 11 o'clock at the corner of Race and Washington avenues. Boyd resided with his wife and two sons at 1637 Pacific Avenue. At the place where the killing occurred Boyd met George Howell, a young white man. After a short conversation, an altercation arose. Howell was wounded and bled profusely. Boyd received cuts in the neck and died shortly afterward. The body was taken to the undertaking establishment of J. P. Donovan Company.
