Killed His Stepfather

NASHVILLE, Nov. 25 - - Near Union City this morning a quarrel about cutting
timber arose between two negroes, Jno. Hackett and Jno. Hawkins, stepfather
and stepson. Hawkins struck Hackett with an axe almost decapitating him.
Hawkins give himself up.
