Farmer Tolliver Slain Near Thornton by Unknown Parties - Great Excitement
Prevails

THORNTON, Sept 15 - - Mr. Tolliver, an old farmer, was murdered to-night about
one mile west of town by unknown parties. The supposition is that deceased had
considerable money and their intention was to rob him. There is great
excitement here and the citizens anxiously await the verdict of the jury of
inquest now sitting.
