Browder was Buried Saturday There was a burial ay Long Creek Cemetery, near Mesquite, Saturday afternoon, a man who was actively connected with early history of Mesquite, reference being had to I. D. Brower, aged 75, who died at Wichita Falls Friday, Dec 13. Mr. Browder was born in Dallas and Brower street, a well known thoroughfare was named after his father. He was one of the early merchants of Mesquite and was postmaster here. He moved away from Mesquite in 1890, first going to Gordon and in 1890, first going to Gordon and in 1908 he moved to Wichtia Falls, where he continued to reside until his death. Mr. Browder was engaged in the lumber, furniture and undertaking business. Mr. Browder was a charter member of the Mesquite Baptist church and it was there that his funeral was held, at 3:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. H. Wynn of the Forrest Avenue Baptist church of Dallas an old friend. He had been a Mason for fifty-four years and the local Masonic Lodge had charge of the funeral. Mr. Browder is survived by four children; Earl Browder of Dallas, Boyd Browder of Ardmore, Okla., Mrs. Gussie Chapman of Mesquite and Mrs. Hattie Gildhouse of Wichita Falls.
