Guiberson, Oil Industry Pioneer, Dies Nathaniel Greene Guiberson, vice-president and a director of the Guiberson Corporation . . . died unexpectedly Monday morning [February 15, 1954] at his home, 3804 Maplewood in Highland Park. Guiberson worked in the oil fields of Bakersfield, Calif., as a young man. He reportedly had a strong interest in the designing of oil field tools and equipment. Guiberson moved to Dallas in 1919. His two brothers, Samuel Allen Guiberson Jr. and William Richard Guiberson, both live in Los Angeles, California and were business associates. Mr. Guiberson had one son, Nathaniel Greene Guiberson Jr., who was a World War II pilot and was lost in the Pacific. He was a member of several organizations including Dallas Historical Society, Dallas Petroleum Club, Dallas Country Club, Dallas Athletic Club, Audubon Society and the Big C Society of the University of California. He was born at Fillmore, Ventura County, California about 1872. Survivors included his wife, Eulavelle (Sweetland) Guiberson, and sisters, Miss Callie E. Guiberson, Mrs. Blanche NcNab, and Mrs. Zuleika Haseltine. The funeral home was Marrs-Mundy-Quill. The obituary includes a portrait of Mr. Guiberson.
