All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Dallas Morning News 9 Oct 1904 Page 5 JOHN LOUPOT DEAD Fatal Accident to an Aged Dallas County Pioneer John Loupot, aged 70 years, died Thursday night at this home a few miles west of Dallas. The deceased was a native of France, but came to this country before the Civil War and has lived at his late home for nearly fifty years. He was the founder of one of the original French colonies located about five miles west of Dallas. He is survived by a wife and the following children: Mrs. Rosa Santeere, West Dallas; Mrs. Emma Wyatt, Dallas; John Loupot Jr., Max Loupot and Emil Loupot, the last two of West Dallas. Mr. Loupot died as the result of an accident sustained while trying to board an electric car two days previous. Burial will be made at 10 o'clock today in the West Dallas Cemetery.
