GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas-Funeral services for William D. Martin, 82, of 317 E. 
Dallas St., longtime Grand Prairie resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in 
Southland Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Southland Memorial Park.

He died Sunday in an Irving hospital.

Martin, a World War I veteran, retired in 1959 after 35 years as assemblyman 
for Ford Motor Co. He was a member of Arcadia Park Church of Christ in Dallas.

He is survived by three sons, W. D. Martin, Jr. Paul E. Martin and Riley 
Martin; one sister, Mrs. Alice Grizzard; eight grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
