He was 67. James May was born June 29, 1938 in Dallas to James William May and the late Helen Louise Grimes May. He graduated from North Dallas High School in 1956, attended the University of Texas and served in the Marine Corps. He joined the Irving Texas police department in 1965 and rose through the ranks to lieutenant. He retired in 2002 from the Oklahoma ABLE Commission. He leaves his father of the home in Dallas; two daughters, Alicia May of Tulsa, Ashley Lundholm of Claremore; two sisters, Jane Mann of Dallas, Judy Kayse, Huntsville. A memorial service to celebrate the life of James R. May will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2005 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
