DALLAS COUNTY PIONEER

Jesse Meaders, Who Died Yesterday, Came Here in 1850

Jesse Meaders died yesterday morning at the home of his son, James Meaders, on
the Preston road, nine miles from the city, aged 80 years. The funeral will be
held at Cochrans Chapel at 9:30 a.m. today, and the burial will be held in the
Cochran Cemetery. The deceased settled in Dallas County in 1830, locating near
the place where he died.
