Mr. Paschall had been in failing health for some time but was able to be up and attend to his duties as night watchman at a road supply station just north of town until Friday. Dr. Stephens said that his death was due to heart trouble brought on by a general breakdown. Mr. Paschall was born on July 6. 1859 in Henry County, Tennessee, near the town of Paris, and he came to Texas and this community with his parents, Mr. and Mrs, W, G. Paschall, when he was six weeks old, the family making the trip in a covered wagon. On Jan. 3, 1883 he was married to Miss Josephine Coats, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Coats, who were among the first settlers in Dallas County coming here in 1842. Her mother Aunt Nan Webb, is still living and makes her home with her. He was converted and joined the Methodist church at Long Creek in 1895 and continued in that faith until he died.
