Hobart C. Smith
(Formerly of Dallas, TX)

WELLINGTON - Hobart C. Smith, 89, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Monte Kreis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens
Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.

Mr. Smith was born in Wellington and was an Army veteran of World War II. He
was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans and
the First United Methodist Church.

In 1969, he retired after 41 years as an engineer in the water department for
the city of Dallas. He was also a farmer. He returned to Wellington in 1969.

He married Pauline Coble-Cannon in 1977 at Duke, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Johnson and Kathy Coleman,
both of Wellington, and Kim West of Flower Mound; a sister, Mary Fetzer of
Dallas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church or the
Children's Home in Waco.
