DALLAS COUNTY PIONEER DIES IN WICHITA FALLS



Mrs. Lucindy Ellen Stratton Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Stratton,
deceased , and wife of C. T. Taylor, died in Wichita Falls, Texas, May 6,
1921. Mrs. Taylor was born in Simpson County, KY., Oct. 9, 1848 moved to
Dallas with her parents at the age of 4, married to C. T. Taylor Dec. 3, 1866,
and to that union there were ten children born, three of whom died in infancy
and one, Charles Albert, died in early manhood. She is survived by her
husband, C. T. Taylor, and six children, namely, J. J. Taylor and I. B. Taylor
of Clarendon, Texas; H. H. and Tommie Taylor of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mrs.
Fannie Holloway and Mrs. Addie Murrell of Wichita Falls. She is also survived
by three sisters, namely, Mrs. R. H. Joyce of Wichita Falls, Mrs. T. A.
Matlock of Petrolia, Texas and Mrs. C. W. Gracey of Dallas. There were eight
grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was buried in Petrolia, Texas.

Mr. and Mrs. Taylor moved from Lisbon, Dallas County, to Clay County, Texas in
the year 1831, where they lived until the summer of 1919, when they moved to
Clarendon. Lately they had moved to Wichita Falls.
