WALTER F. TAYLOR DR. TAYLOR, LEADING TEXAS EDUCATOR DIES SUDDENLY IN COMO Dr. Walter F. Taylor of Dallas, Texas, died suddenly Sunday morning of a heart attack while on a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Taylor, of Como, N.C. Dr. Taylor, who was about 47 years of age and an educator of unusual prominence, was Dean of the Schools of Biochemistry and Medical Pathology in Baylor University, Dallas. He had been in ill-health for two years and was, with his family, visiting his parents in Como on a vacation when fatally stricken in his father’s home some time Saturday, being found dead in his bed the following morning. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home of his parents in Como, conducted by Rev. D.J. Robinson, pastor of the Como Baptist Church, with interment in the family plot in the churchyard cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Harvey Picot, Rufus Darden, Donald Spiers, Guy C. Hill, Davis Spiers, William Taylor, Robert Howell and Wallace White. Dr. Taylor, besides his parents, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude McCulloch Taylor and two daughters, Jane and Rosalie Taylor of Dallas, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Jack Boyd, of Greenville, N.C.
