LOCAL NOTES:

Mrs. Pleasant Taylor, whose husband was one of the pioneers of Dallas County,
died last Sunday, aged 71. She was a native of Illinois, from which state she
came with her husband to Dallas County in 1846. Her husband died in this city
last February.
