Born Jessie McCrum on 6 May 1893 Rains County, TX, the first of two children 
born to Dr. Samuel Stephen McCrum and Emma Lou Simmons.  Jessie worked for 30 
years for the Department of Agriculture in Dallas.  She died on 18 Feb 1976 in 
Dallas, TX and was buried in Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery in Dallas next to her 
mother and brother, Richard Douglas McCrum, Sr.
