This is the monument of the John Martin Crabtree family in the Carruth Historical
Section of Hillcrest 
Cemetery.

When John Martin Creabtree first married they lived in Sulphur Springs near
Jonesville, Virginia, sold out 
and moved to Texas in 1858.  In 1858, they were in Dallas, Texas in a home on White
Rock.
  

Additional Comments:
1860 Census for Dallas Co. Texas, Precinct l, states that he is a Blacksmith.
