O. MCREYNOLDS, GRACE M. WEAVER MARRY AT CHURCH The marriage of Miss Grace Mae Weaver, formerly of Dallas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Weaver, Wortham to Loyle O. McReynolds, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. O. McReynolds, Coolidge, was solemnized Saturday evening at the Central Presbyterian Church, Wortham, with the Rev. Edgar Hubbard officiating. Mrs. Dick Wimberly and Mrs. Henry Meador gave the music. The bride's attendants were Miss Beverly Dufner, Halletsville, maid of honor; Mmes. Morris LaFevre, Molly Lou Keeling of Belton, Ross Smith of Palestine and S. C. Middleton of Dallas, bridesmaids. J. O. McReynolds, Dallas, was best man and Virgil Truman Williams of Austin, Bill Ward of Dallas, and Joe Fred Bennett and Clark Askew, both of Coolidge, were groomsmen. Patricia Donnell and Dian Donnell, the bride's nieces, were flower girls. After a reception at the home of the bride's parents, the couple left for Colorado Springs, Colo., for a wedding trip. Mrs. McReynolds was graduated from Wortham High School and received her degree from Trinity University. Her husband is a graduate of Coolidge High School and attended Texas A. & M. College. He served as a captain in the 82d Airborne Division for twenty-four months in the European theater of war. EMMETT C. BAKER, ILA MAY MOORE WED Miss Ila May Moore, formerly of Dallas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar M. Moore, Mexia, was married to Emmett C. Baker, son of Mrs. J. C. Baker, Groesbeck, Saturday afternoon. The wedding took place in the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Bates, Mexia, with the Rev. Malcolm Smith, Groesbeck, reading the double-ring ceremony. The wedding music was given by Miss Margaret Jo Moore, Dallas, cousin of the bride, and Miss Roy Jean Denton. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a light blue mesh crepe dress, white lace hat and white accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias. Miss Marie Grider, Dallas, was the bride's only attendant and Genie Cook, Mexia, was best man. Ushers were John L. Bates Jr., cousin of the bride, and Edgar M. Moore Jr., brother of the bride. Following the ceremony, a reception was held with Mrs. W. K. Waller, Dallas, and Miss Josephine Moore, Anniston, Ala., aunts of the bride, serving the cake and Mrs. Nelson A. Hall, sister of the bride, presiding at the punch bowl. Miss Mary Jo Baker, sister of the bridegroom, had charge of the bride's book. Mrs. Baker is a graduate of Mexia High School. Mr. Baker was graduated from Groesbeck High School and Luling Foundation, Luling, and attended Texas A. & M. College before enlisting in the Naval Air Reserve in which he served three and a half years. He has re-entered A. & M. Mr. and Mrs. Baker will be at home in Bryan after a short wedding trip. MRS. JACKIE ROGERS, CLIFFORD SMITH WED Mrs. Jackie Rogers, formerly of Dallas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Marple, Tioga, Grayson County, became the bride of Clifford Smith May 26 at the home of the bridegroom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Smith, Tioga. The Rev. David Foster officiated. Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Smith, Tioga. Mrs. Tommie Anderson gave traditional wedding music. Mrs. John Kilday, Dallas, was matron of honor and Cpl. Leland Davis, Sherman, attended the bridegroom as best man. The bride wore a white flannel suit with navy accessories. Her corsage was of pink carnations. At the reception which followed the ceremony, Mrs. J. W. Keller served the cake and Mrs. Lawrence Hestand presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. David Meek was in charge of the bride's book. JOYCE FISCHER, DONALD H. HOLMES EXCHANGE VOWS The marriage of Miss Joyce Fischer, daughter of Mrs. J. P. Fischer, 2518 North Garrett, and the late Mr. Fischer, to Donald H. Holmes was solemnized Friday evening at the Greenville Avenue Christian Church. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Kenneth H. Holmes of New London, Conn. The Rev. Paul A. Daugherty read the ceremony and the music was presented by Miss June Knox, singer, Fort Worth, and Mrs. Alta Faye Lockland, accompanist. Alton B. Fischer gave his sister in marriage. The bride's white lace dress was made with a modified sweetheart neckline and had long fitted sleeves which came to points over the hands. Her veil was of illusion and her only jewelry was a gold cross, a gift of the bridegroom. The attendants were Mrs. Ray Zauber, matron of honor, Miss June Day, maid of honor; Mr. Zauber, best man. Ushers were J. Lee Roberts, Fort Worth, and Thomas DeFrese. A reception was held at the home of the bride. Assisting in the house party were Mrs. Frank A. Taylor Jr., Angleton; Mrs. Harry Hobbs, Houston; Mrs. Wilson Walsh and Miss Florence Fischer, all sisters of the bride. After a wedding trip to New York, Mr. and Mrs. Holmes will live in New London until September, when they will attend the University of Syracuse. The bride is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended North Texas State College. Her husband was graduated from Bulkley High School, New London, and attended Cooper Union Institute, New York City, and Brighton School of Art in Brighton, England. MRS. WILSON FAVORED Mrs. E. P. Williams, Mrs. E. M. Collins and Mrs. Jimmy Brow entertained with a shower Friday afternoon at Mrs. Williams' home, 1443 Englewood, honoring Mrs. Alton Ray Wilson. Mrs. Wilson, formerly of England is a recent bride. At the party Mrs. W. A. Ruyle presided at the guest book. Fifty guests attended.
