A rehearsal dinner will be given Friday evening by Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. Al Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Sands at the Hunt home on Lawther Drive in honor of Miss Jeanne Gannon and John Stuart Hunt, who will be married Saturday evening. Complimenting Miss Mary Hillman, bride-elect of Robert Heidrick, Miss Susan Diggie will entertain with a kitchen shower Friday at her home, 5101 Swiss Avenue. Miss Hillman has announced that her bridal attendants will be Miss Margaret Nell Carlisle, maid of honor; Mrs. Vernon Coe, sister of the bride-elect, matron of honor; Mrs. R. G. Storey, Jr., Mrs. Charles F. Heidrick Jr., of Beaumont, Miss Lenora Rose and Miss Houston Tripp, bridesmaids. Mr. Heidrick's best man will be his brother, Charles F. Heidrick Jr. Ushers will be Vernon Coe, Thomas Hanlon of Scarsdale, N.Y., James Tollison of Amarillo, Harry Underwood of Lubbock and Ronnie B. Cousin Jr. of Austin. MISS WILSON HONOREE A luncheon honoring Miss Florence Wilson will be given Friday at the S. & S. Tearoom by Mrs. Vinson McKelvey. Miss Wilson will be married June 22 to John Pershing Reed. Mrs. John E. Mitchell will entertain with an informal tea at her home, 8427 San Fernando, Friday afternoon, feting Miss Wilson. Twenty-five guests have been invited. Miss Helen Record, bride-elect of Don Brown, will be honoree at a luncheon and bridge party Friday given by Miss Florence Leachman at her home, 4209 Edmondson. A dinner party was held Thursday evening by Miss Joan Adams at her home, 5912 Averill Way, for Miss Record. Guests were members of the wedding party and the mothers of the engaged pair. Mrs. Bill Shiels and her daughter, Miss Maisie Shiels, will have a luncheon Friday at the S. & S. Tearoom to compliment Miss Betty Green, bride-elect of Max Ligon. Places will be set for fifteen guests. REHEARSAL DINNER PLANNED Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Canfield and their daughter, Miss Catherine Canfield, will fete Miss Catherine Alexander and Thomas K. Pierce with a rehearsal dinner Friday evening. Miss Alexander and Mr. Pierce will be married Saturday at 7 p.m. at the East Dallas Christian church. The rehearsal dinner will be at the Canfield home, 3417 Cragmont. Another rehearsal dinner will be given by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reedy, 3725 Maplewood, for their son, Frank Reedy Jr., and his fiance, Miss Sarah Barrow of Terrell. Guests will be members of the wedding party. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford F. Jessee will be hosts at a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at the Hotel Adolphus for their daughter, Miss Betty Jane Jessee, and her fiance, Guy Lamonte Ashley. There will be thirty guests including members of the wedding party. Thirty-five guests have been invited. MRS. ED HOWARD HOSTESS. Miss Judy Stone, bride-to-be of Craig Kindig, will be feted with a luncheon Friday in the Mural Room. Mrs. Ed Howard will be hostess. A luncheon for twelve guests will be given Friday by Miss Anne Ashburn and Miss Lois Ashburn at their home, 2201 North Henderson, for Miss Sarah Pool, whose marriage to J. Will Lewis Jr. will take place June 15. A crystal shower Friday evening will be given for Miss Pool by Mrs. Henry Knight and Mrs. J. R. Mills at the Mills home, 6106 Revere. Honoring Miss Margaret Wilson, bride-elect of Allen Leslie Garner, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hutton will entertain twenty-five guests with a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at their home, 3505 Linwood. Mrs. Hutton will be matron of honor, in the wedding which will take place in the East Dallas Christian Church Saturday evening. Miss Joyce Conley and her mother, Mrs. A. B. Conley, will have an informal party Friday afternoon at their home, 525 Brookside, in honor of Miss Eloise Brown, bride-elect of John Swanson III, and Miss Lela Bob Short, whose engagement to Alex Page has recently been announced. There will be thirty-five guests present. MISS BUTTS TO BE FETED Mrs. S. B. Mathis and Mrs. C. H. Lucas will give a shower Friday evening honoring Miss Alice Carolyn Butts, bride-to-be of Warren Glenn Squires. The shower will be at the home of Mrs. Mathis, 1238 Iowa. Forty-five guests will attend. Miss Doris Dowdell will be hostess at a linen shower Friday evening at her home, 4400 Windsor Parkway, for Miss Barbara Smith, bride-elect of Arthur Lee Denton Jr. About fifty guests will be present. An informal party for Miss Smith was given Thursday evening by Miss Norma Wright, 4301 Standhope. A bridge party and kitchen shower for Miss Carol Kirkpatrick, bride-to-be of Charles Norton, was given Thursday evening by Miss Kitty Lou Mattison at her home, 6231 Vickery. A shower for Miss Marjorie Cofer was given Wednesday evening by Miss Jane Manton and her mother, Mrs. Henry Manton, at their home, 3520 St. John's Drive. Miss Cofer is to be married June 20 to Selden Bolivar Marth. Thirty guests were present. A luncheon for Miss Cofer will be given Friday at the S. & S. Tearoom by Mrs. Fred L. Adams and Mrs. A. S. Hardwicke. Covers will be laid for twelve guests. Miss Marietta Garvey, who is the fiance of William D. Kehoe, was honoree at a luncheon Thursday at the Century Room. Hostess was Mrs. Leonard W. Grayson. Places were marked for twenty guests. Miss Evelyn Crumbley, bride-elect of Garland William Mallory, was honoree at a buffet supper and shower Thursday evening at the home of her sister, Miss Martha Louise Crumbley, 3447 Shenandoah. There were thirty guests. WEDDING DATE SET BY VIRGINIA WALKER Announcements have been made of the approaching marriage of Miss Virginia Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Walker, Littlefield, to L. G. Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maple Wilson, Lubbock. The wedding will take place June 15 in the First Presbyterian Church in Littlefield. Miss Walker attended the Hockaday School, SMU and the University of Texas. She is also a former student of the Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles, Calif. She was a member of the Cotillion Club. Mr. Wilson served in the armed forces during the war. He is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute and Texas Technological College.
