Parker Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 p.m. for John D. Parker, 59, who died early yesterday of heart disease. Mr. Parker had made his home here for 13 years. A farmer by trade, he was born April 14, 1890, in Bell County. He had been a member of the Christian Church since his youth. Last rites will be held at the Higginbotham Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Anderson officiating. Interment will be at the Lamesa Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Parker; one brother, Jim Parker of Hamilton; one sister, Mrs. Bell McKeffer of Temple; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Tims of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. F. W. Baker of Lamesa and Mrs. O. L. Anderson of Lamesa; three sons, Lee of Seminole and J. O. and D. D. of Lamesa. Seventeen grandchildren also survive. Additional Comments: The surviving wife is incorrectly stated as Annie, the correct name of wife is Pleasent Ethel Parker.
