18 YEAR OLD "GOLD STAR BOY" AS PER LOCAL PAPER. 

Additional Comments:
Killed in Action in Aachen Battle in Germany, buried in Lamesa Memorial Park 
Honor Field Cemetery. He was the first overseas war dead to be returned to 
Dawson County for burial and the first to be buried in the new Field of Honor 
for veterans.
