Hardy. He passed away April 13, 2002 in Copper, Texas at the age of 77 years 1 month and 29 days. He was married to Nell Alexander January 26, 1946. They made their home in Cooper for 18 years where he was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and the American Legion. Charles served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a gunner and aircraft mechanic. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Ellis Hardy and 1 sister, Zella Mae Miller. Services were held Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Rose Chapel with Rev. Hollis Press officiating. Interment followed in the Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Sayre. Survivors include: his wife, Nell Hardy of the home; 1 son, Charles W. Hardy of LaPorte, TX; 2 daughters, Joy Woodall of Cooper, TX., Cindy Buckelew of Artesia, NM; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; host of relatives and friends.
